Daughters, San Antonio...
Well, it's happened, I got to see my daughter! What a wonderful time thing that was.
Friday dawned bright, finally, this whole time change thing meant that kputty and his wife arrived at our hotel, in the dark. Breakfast was had and we headed out to Lackland. Found pretty decent seats and waited (as usual, right?). The ceremony was nice and short. :-)
We then got to go hang out with her for the rest of the day, we had to stay on base until 2 PM then we could head out, so we went back to the putty's hotel and chilled there until a nice dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, then off to see a San Antonio Spurs game, which none of us really watched, Alb and Trav went off to be alone for a few, then we hung out down at the food area with tables and such, all in all a nice time. The weather was nice all day. Alb looks great, same kid, not nearly as different as I expected, except for her locker was REALLY neat and clean! I couldn't believe it. She must have hired someone to keep it clean for her. :-) Here are some pictures of yesterday, I'll try to have some more up soon. AND I'll have to tell you about hanging out with a 2nd LT while on base, it's kinda funny around newly graduated Airman.
Not sure what the day ahead holds, but we'll see.
