Maine (Vacation update 1)...
Well, I'm FINALLY back and writing again, it's been a while, eh?
Let's see, I took 10 days off for vacation, went on my annual hiking trip and did some general hanging about, that was fantastic.
Got back, worked for a few days and headed off to Oregon for a week, that was fun in that I got to go hike around Mt. Hood during that trip, but I'll talk more about that later.
So... first off, let's see, vacation and Maine, wow, what a great year we had, it was a bit warmer than usual, which was good and bad, it was good in that the Dawg and I got to swim a couple of times and by swim I mean we got to dunk in the rivers and or streams, but it was a lot like swimming (water was very cold so sticking in there wasn't much of an option). We did somewhere around 37 miles this year, wasn't a super stressful deal, mostly flat and chill, we didn't get an early start any day, mostly just waking up leisurely, breaking camp and getting on the road between 9 and 11, walking for the rest of the day and camping again, always good times! I really enjoy hanging with Mike and the Mad Dawg, especially camping, we have a pretty good rhythm going (after 8 years with Mike and the Dawg joined us for the last 5) as a team so we have a good time. Here are some Pics of the 2007 Baxter trip, enjoy!
Guess I better get back to work...
Peace, love, beer,
BS
