Older...

Well, here it is the day I've been dreading for 13 years. Today is the day my oldest daughter graduates from High School.

I remember dropping her off for her first day of kindergarten. I had worked all night and I met her and her mom at the school and took pictures and her mom walked her while I headed home to bed. Today, almost 14 years later, I will watch her don her cap and gown (with this amazingly gorgeous dress underneath) and march down the aisle. I'm sure, that if you're reading this and you are a parent you know how I feel, but it is weird, I must say.

Anyway, that's consuming my thoughts for today.

a long time...

Can you believe it has been a month since I last wrote anything?

A lot has happened since I got back from Vegas, or maybe it just seems like a lot. I have been out riding my motorcycle a good bit (never enough though), been to a few parties (most notably one where I played Wii for a good chunk of time). I’ve been hanging with some friends, most notably the boys from DC have been here the past week (well, Todd has been here longer), we’ve had some good times.

AND the coolest part, I got to dog-sit for a friend’s dog! Keegan came to stay with me (and the kitties) for three days. We had a very good time, we played ball and Frisbee in the park, went for walks, ate good food, etc. All in all it reminded me of one of those times in a movie when the music plays and you can just tell that everyone is having a good time and enjoying life. What fun! (Here is a picture of Keegan and Ben, Ben wasn't too thrilled but did, I think, enjoy the presence of doggy.)

I’m off to a stressful pre-wedding thing today, I don’t understand why I’m stressed about it. I guess I feel like I’m in the middle of a couple of situations that I shouldn’t be, who cares, it’ll all be over in a few hours.
