house, etc. (apologies to The Choir). :-)
This whole blog thing is tough! I don’t really have enough to say (or at least I don’t think I do) but then I start typing and BAM! (apologies to Emeril) before you know it, I’ve said something.
So, we bought a house and then spent the next three weeks immersed in this pathetic little world that I don’t like. I much prefer helping other people with their stuff, but it was my turn to receive. I can’t even tell you how much help there was!! I can’t even believe it myself. Everyone from family to friends to acquaintances showed up to get in on the action, it’s funny to look around our “nowhere near finished” house and remember the many hands that touched it! Thank you all!!!!! (Especially the fruit-headed sister of mine, I’m pretty sure she’s the only one that reads this anyway) :-P
We officially moved in to the new place on Father’s Day, that was fun (NOT!!) I hate moving. Now that I’ve said it, I’ll probably get a job where I move once a year or something crazy like that!
For now though, work goes well, home is in chaos and, well, we’re all still exceptionally beautiful people. :-)
I must say that I have been challenged over the past few months (no I haven’t forgotten the bit about intelligent design/evolution/creation, see March of the Penguins and let’s talk about those guys!) about the whole prayer thing. Being raised Christian, in a Christian school and church, prayer just doesn’t seem like it really does anything. With this being said, I started a few months ago to pray the “Prayer of St. Francis” (go ahead, Google it) I can’t say that it’s changed my life or anything, but it certainly seems to keep the most important things on the forefront of my mind. Any thoughts on prayer or anything?
BS
